Taiwan Mobile’s mobile service revenue continued to grow YoY in January, as smartphone postpaid ARPU increased YoY for both former T Star users and existing TWM users. Meanwhile, our postpaid users’ monthly churn rate fell to a record low of 0.58%. On the profitability side, telecom operating income delivered a strong performance, rising 35% YoY and driving a 10% YoY growth in net income.

 

Taiwan Mobile announced January 2025 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$16.46bn; EBITDA of NT$3.59bn; operating income of NT$1.78bn; net income of NT$1.16bn; and EPS of NT$0.38.

 

George Chang, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson commented that the Company has continued to realize merger synergies, providing customers with expanded 5G coverage and better network quality since the merger. To attract and serve more high-tariff 5G users, we will further enhance 5G network quality and customer satisfaction. In line with this commitment, the Board on January 17 approved 2025 capex plans totaling NT$8.579bn, of which NT$0.686bn will be allocated to e-commerce, while the rest will be designated for mobile network, fixed network, cable broadband, and digital TV services.
