Daniel Tsai, Chairman of Taiwan Mobile Co. Ltd., holds an LLB from National Taiwan University and an LLM from Georgetown University. Mr. Tsai has managed different financial institutions including banks, securities, life insurance, property & casualty insurance since 1981. He was named as one of Taiwan's 50 best-performing CEOs in 2016 by Harvard Business Review.
Ever since Mr. Tsai returned to the position of Chairman of Taiwan Mobile Co. in 2016, he has been leading the company to transform into a new-generation Internet technology company. With 6C core resources (Coverage/ Convergence/ Content/ Channel/ Cloud/ CSR), the company leverages technology and innovations, and aims at becoming a remarkable world-class enterprise. In 2018, under Mr. Tsai’s leadership, Taiwan Mobile Co. joined hands with partners and successfully built TAIWANIA 2, the first high-speed supercomputer in Taiwan. The project not only laid the foundation for Taiwan's industrial AI and AI industrialization, but also set an example of cross-industry collaboration for Taiwan’s ICT sector.
Aside from spurring the development of telecommunications industry, Mr. Tsai supports Taiwan sustainability and takes CSR as the highest guiding principle for corporate development. Under his guidance, Taiwan Mobile Co. starts up its CSR efforts with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria to meet all stakeholders’ expectations of TWM. In 2017, the company launched “Zetta Connected 2030” aligning with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the same year, Mr. Tsai strived for 2G/3G service termination, which served as an industry benchmark for energy conservation and carbon reduction in Taiwan.
To help move Taiwan onto a sustainable path, Mr. Tsai was devoted to promoting a cooperation framework on 5G rollout under The Telecommunications Management Act. Besides, he calls for shared networks for 3G and 4G throughout Taiwan as a pilot scheme to effectively control waste of resource and power consumption, reduce carbon emissions throughout Taiwan. In 2019, Taiwan Mobile Co. passed the review from Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), and became the first telco in Taiwan, the second one throughout Asia, to pass this international verification.
TWM’s accomplishments in CSR driven by Mr. Tsai are highly recognized by domestic and international organizations. In 2017, Mr. Tsai acquired “Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Award” by TCSA (Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards). In 2018, Taiwan Mobile Co. was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Emerging Markets Index for the seventh consecutive year and in the DJSI World Index for the second time, grabbing the No. 1 spot for the first time in the global telecommunications sector.

Ms. Rosie Yu joined Taiwan Mobile in 2006 as the vice president, leading the investor relations, finance, and billing departments. Excelling in strategic decision making, risk management, team leadership, Ms. Yu enhanced the company's capital management efficiency and shareholders’ return. In 2009, she was awarded the 27th annual “National Outstanding Manager of the Year” by the Association of Enterprise Managers, the only one receiving this award from the telecommunication industry then. Following that prestigious recognition, in 2010, Ms. Yu was awarded “Best Investor Relations Manager” by Investor Relations Global Rankings. Due to consistently recognized outstanding performance from inside and outside the company, Ms. Yu was promoted in 2011 to be the Chief Financial Officer, and was further promoted to Executive Vice President/CFO in 2014, before being awarded “Asia’s Best CFO” by Corporate Governance Asia magazine for three consecutive years in 2016-2018.
