Mr. Daniel M. Tsai is Chairman of Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd.
Mr. Richard M. Tsai is Vice Chairman of Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. and he was Chairman of Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. during 2006 to 2016. Under his leadership, the company has capitalized on the trend toward digital convergence. Mr. Tsai leads the company to be a leading mobile service provider in Taiwan and become a role-model in the global ICT industry.
Mr. Tsai was born in Taipei in 1957. He received Bachelor of law from National Taiwan University in 1979 and Master of Business Administration from Stern School of New York University in 1981.
Mr. Tsai started his career at Bankers Trust New York Headquarters as a lending officer in Asia Group in 1981. He joined Fubon Financial in 1984. In the last 32 years, Mr. Tsai has managed different areas of financial services, including leasing, consumer finance, property & casualty insurance, and banking. He also founded Fubon Securities, Fubon Life Assurance and Fubon Securities Investment Trust. All are industry leaders in their respective fields.
Mr. Tsai is active in civic and cultural activities. Serving as Chairman of Taipei New Horizons Co., Ltd. in 2013, Mr. Tsai committed to promote Cultural and Creative Industry and audio-visual industry in Taiwan. He is also a Board Member of Taiwan Mobile Foundation and Taipei New Horizon Foundation, leads these foundations responding different needs in society and integrating the core corporate resources to serve society and give back to the public. He is also vice chairman of Taiwan Basketball Association and member of the International Advisory Board of New York Philharmonic.
In 2011, Mr. Tsai was granted “Asia Innovator of the Year Award” of the 10th CNBC ABLA to cite his achievement and was the sole awardee from Taiwan. In 2016, Mr. Tsai received the honor of “Taiwan Top 50 Best-Performing CEOs” presented by Harvard Business Review.
Dr. James Jeng served as Chairman and CEO of Kbro since February 2011 till January 2014.
Prior to joining Kbro, Dr. Jeng concurrently served as CTO of TWM Group, COO of Home Business Group and President of TFN Media CO., LTD. – a subsidiary company of TWM. He served as CEO of Asia Pacific Broadband Wireless – a new start up 3G mobile operator, Asia Pacific Broadband Telecom – a new fix line operator, and president of Asia Pacific Online – an Internet Service Provider.
He has been serving as executive management in Telecom industry both in Taiwan and USA for more than 25 years. Before returning to Taiwan and served as Executive Vice President of United Fiber Optic Communication Inc. – a subsidiary of Lucent Technology in Taiwan, Dr. Jeng served in AT&T Bell Lab. as a research engineer for 4 years and then served as Technical Supporting Manager in Greater China region for another 2 years.
Dr. Jeng received his Ph. D. and MS degrees from State University of New York in 1985 and 1982, and BS degree from National Cheng Kung University majored in Electrical Engineering in 1977.
Ms. Rosie Yu joined Taiwan Mobile in 2006 as the vice president, leading the IR team, finance, and billing departments. Excelling in strategic decision making, risk management, team leadership, Ms. Yu enhanced the company's capital management efficiency and shareholders’ return. In 2009, she was awarded the 27th annual “National Outstanding Manager of the Year” by the Association of Enterprise Managers, the only one receiving this award from the telecommunication industry in that respective year. Following that prestigious recognition, in 2010, Ms. Yu was awarded “Best Investor Relations Manager” by Investor Relations Global Rankings. Due to consistently recognized outstanding performance from inside and outside the company, Ms. Yu was promoted in 2011 to take over the Taiwan Mobile’s Chief Financial Officer position.
Prior to joining TWM, Ms. Yu completed more than twenty years domestic and international experience working with foreign banks and securities investment industry. With a strong understanding of securities industry development and stock market operations, she was involved in opening the domestic stock market to qualified foreign institutional investors. During Ms. Yu’s time with China Securities (now KGI), she was awarded Taiwan's "Best Local Broker" and "Best local research institutions" awards.
Mr. C.H. Jih first joined Siemens Telecom System Ltd. Co., in 1990, and was in charge of project leader for HO CHI MINH CITY and MEKONG RIVER including more than 50 sites building in Vietnam, right after his graduation from Dept. of Electronic Engineering in National Taipei Institute of Technology. During 1995 to 2003, Mr.. Jih joined Taiwan Telecom Group (sequentially in Suretone Communication Co., Ltd., Taiwan Cellular Corporation and Howin Technologies) and played an important part in network implementation for CT2 and GSM. Under his leadership, the whole engineering team had amazingly reached the target to DGT network quality survey ranking No. 1.
Since 2003, Mr. C.H. Jih was a Vice President of Taiwan Fixed Network Co., Ltd., led the telecom technological team to participate in fiber broadband network construction, network transmission equipment monitoring, and the operation of supply-installation and engineering construction. With rich and excellent experiences in engineering technology management, Mr. Jih lead whole team to undertake the planning and designing for the integration of TFN telecom technological application service and CATV business.
Afterward, Mr. C.H. Jih joined kbro Surf. Co., team in 2007, as Chief Technology Officer, and devoted DTV service implementation, lead Network Technology Team members to install coaxial fiber network engineering construction, broadband network quality improvement, digital TV services development and new generation Set-Top Box development and integration.
Mr. Jeff Ku is the Senior Vice President and CBO of Consumer Business Group. He joined Taiwan Mobile in 2005 as the Vice President of Value Added Service, and then the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Consumer Business Group.
Jeff has extensive experiences in both telecom and IT industries. He has been successfully in helping Taiwan Mobile to become the leader of mobile data services in Taiwan.
Prior to joining Taiwan Mobile, Jeff was the CIO of Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation. Jeff received his MBA from University of Wollongong, Australia and EMBA from National Taiwan University.
Ms. Ariel Hwang is Vice President and Acting General Counsel of Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd.
