Industry-Academia Study on Climate Change

Cooperating with the Institute of Environmental Engineering at National Taipei University of Technology on net-zero path and value chain carbon reduction strategies.

  1. TWM’s medium- and long-term net-zero strategy analysis: SBTi-aligned net-zero pathway planning and adjustment, assessment of avoided emissions through circular economy extensions, and advanced applications of internal carbon pricing mechanisms within the enterprise.
  2. Value chain emissions analysis: value chain inventory, improvement and correction of input-output (IO) coefficients.
  3. Supported the Academia Sinica “Net-Zero Technology R&D and Industry-Academia Collaboration” Program:
  • Development of net-zero technologies such as decarbonized hydrogen, geothermal energy, and ocean energy.
  • Decarbonized hydrogen: Technology has entered small-scale commercial operation, successfully decomposing methane in natural gas into hydrogen.
  • Deep geothermal: Taiwan’s first “deep geothermal exploration well” officially began drilling in October 2024 to launch carbon drilling research.
