Water Management Program

TWM has established the Environmental Working Group under a three-tier governance framework overseen by the Board of Directors. Through the introduction of ISO14001, TWM conducts a complete inventory of the company's water consumption, and sets short, mid and long-term water conservation target to improve water efficiency.

Water saving measures for the office: Information regarding water consumption in offices is sent to supervisors of each unit monthly to promote water saving measures.

Water saving measures for direct-operated stores: Monthly review of water consumption report, notification of any abnormalities for leakage detection and maintenance.

Server rooms/ base stations (including Taiwan media/IDC/IT server rooms)：

1. Reduce the amount of water spilling from the cooling towers.

2. Maximize water chiller efficiency.

3. Recycled PET bottles placed in toilets to reduce the water used for flushing.

TWM's primary water consumption is dedicated to air-conditioning cooling, which differs significantly from industrial or chemical manufacturing processes; thus, improving wastewater quality is not applicable to our operations. Furthermore, with our efficient drainage and recycling systems in place, TWM achieves zero wastewater discharge.

In 2025, we reduce total tap water consumption by 1% compared to 2024. Our actual performance exceeded this goal, achieving a 1.2% reduction.

Under our long-term roadmap (Baseline: 2017), we aim to reduce total tap water consumption by 9% by 2026, 12% by 2030, and 17% by 2035.

In our IDC and office have rainwater harvesting system and water dispenser wastewater recycling system: treated water is used for watering landscaping plants or toilet flushing, thus achieving substantial savings in water consumption and reducing waste.

In 2025, we recycled a total of 0.000793 (million cubic meters) of water, supporting our commitment to resource circularity.

TWM announces environmental and energy policy, as well as relevant environmental regulations on a regular basis every year. TWM encourages employees to actively practice energy saving, carbon reduction, and water conservation to contribute to the planet. We provide energy-saving, carbon reduction, plastic reduction, and water efficiency practices and awareness training on the intranet. Additionally, we offer monthly statistics on office water and electricity usage, waste production, and printer usage to promote various energy-saving measures among employees. This initiative aims to raise employee awareness of energy efficiency, starting with water conservation, electricity saving, and plastic reduction.
