Taiwan Mobile announced November 2020 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$15.27bn, operating income of NT$1.19bn, net income of NT$0.86bn, and EPS of NT$0.30. For the first eleven months of the year, TWM reported cumulative unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$120.14bn, operating income of NT$14.84bn, net income of NT$10.88bn, and EPS of NT$3.87.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson, commented that in November, our e-commerce revenue surged by 43% YoY on the back of an effective Double 11 campaign, driving momo’s contribution to 61% of November consolidated sales, a monthly record high. As for the mobile business, during the eighteen days after the release of iPhone 12 Pro Max on November 13th, accumulated handset bundle sales volume was over 50% greater than the previous generation, while more than 90% of customers signed up for $1399 or higher rate plans. As the momentum of previously launched iPhone 12/12 Pro, Samsung Note 20 and TWM-exclusive Google Pixel series also remained strong, we saw notable monthly fee increase in the users upgrading to 5G plans. Having accumulated over 230k 5G users subscribed to $1399 or higher rate plans thus far, we were pleased to see monthly tariff stabilization in our smartphone user base for the third consecutive month. Meanwhile, the YoY slide in mobile service revenue continued to narrow in November.

For the first eleven months of 2020, cumulative consolidated operating income dwindled YoY, as a result of higher spectrum amortization post 5G service launch and higher 5G handset costs. That said, operating income of all major businesses achieved management expectations and cumulative consolidated net income reached 97% of Company’s FY20 guidance.
