TWM announced May consolidated revenue of NT$10.01bn. EBITDA was NT$3.03bn with an operating income of NT$1.89bn and a net income of NT$1.51bn. EPS was NT$0.55. For the first five months of 2018, TWM reported a consolidated revenue of NT$49.86bn, an EBITDA of NT$13.98bn, an operating income of NT$8.28bn and a net income of NT$6.23bn. EPS for the first five months was NT$2.29, reaching 46% of its full-year forecast.
Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson of TWM, stated that, in May, there was a shift of customer’s interests into the unlimited 4G data SIM only plan, which paved the way for the expansion of the company’s OTT-related value-added services and innovative applications, and helped the company to reduce customer retention and acquisition costs. In terms of e-commerce business, revenue surged thanks to Mother’s Day sales. Consequently, the company’s core EBITDA saw a robust YoY growth of 27%, under the basis of pre-IFRS 15 adoption.
