Taiwan Mobile was included in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2026 for the ninth consecutive year and was recognized among the top 5% of companies globally for the seventh time. The recognition underscores the company’s continued commitment to sustainability amid growing AI-driven energy demand, global decarbonization trends, and increasing climate-related challenges.
Taiwan Mobile continues to advance its sustainability strategy through renewable energy deployment and its proprietary AI-powered green energy matching algorithm, which optimizes energy efficiency across its operations. The company is also actively developing its Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration Project to enhance natural carbon sinks and strengthen climate resilience.
In 2025, Taiwan Mobile reduced more than 18 million kWh of electricity consumption at its base stations. Renewable energy usage is expected to reach 17%, supporting the company’s progress toward its long-term RE100 commitment. The Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration Project also exceeded its annual carbon absorption target ahead of schedule, achieving more than 82 tonnes of carbon absorption per hectare.
In parallel, Taiwan Mobile continues to strengthen the resilience of its telecommunications infrastructure while leveraging AI-driven education initiatives to help bridge the digital divide and expand equal access to opportunities in the AI era.
Taiwan Mobile stated that ESG remains a core pillar of its long-term strategy. The company has established a Board-level Sustainability Committee and links 100% of senior executives’ variable compensation to ESG performance, embedding sustainability into its governance framework.
