Aligned with Global Standards: Four SEED Dimensions
The TIP Taiwan Sustainability Ratings are designed in alignment with international and domestic sustainability standards, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), principles of materiality, and frameworks for climate change and net zero emissions. They cover four SEED dimensions—Social (S), Economic (E), Environmental (E), and Disclosure (D)—and assess companies across more than 300 indicators, examining governance structure, risk management, climate actions, and information transparency. The ratings serve as a key reference for investors and institutions in evaluating corporate sustainability performance.
Board Oversight of Sustainability
100% ESG-Linked Executive Compensation
Driven by its dual engines of financial performance and sustainability, Taiwan Mobile has achieved three consecutive years of profit growth. In 2024, consolidated revenue reached NT$199.4 billion, up 9% year-on-year, while EBITDA rose 19% to NT$42.5 billion, both hitting record highs.
Taiwan Mobile leads the telecom sector by establishing a Board-level Sustainability Committee, chaired by the Chairman and composed entirely of independent directors, to strengthen oversight and governance of sustainability strategies. Starting in 2025, executive variable compensation will be 100% linked to ESG performance, ensuring alignment between sustainability goals and business outcomes. The company is steadily advancing toward its goals of 100% renewable energy use by 2040 and net zero emissions by 2050.
To address emerging risks in the AI era, Taiwan Mobile has also implemented a comprehensive risk and information security management framework, appointing a Chief Information Security Officer and dedicated risk control teams.
