Celebrating Innovation and Leadership in Asia-Pacific Telecom

The Twimbit Telecom Awards recognize excellence and innovation across Asia-Pacific’s telecom sector. Winners are selected based on rigorous evaluation criteria including revenue growth, EBITDA, market share, innovation, and customer experience. The 2025 edition awarded a total of 23 accolades across four categories: Overall Excellence, Growth Beyond Connectivity, Stakeholder & Customer Experience, and Individual Excellence. Taiwan Mobile was among the few to receive awards spanning three of these four categories—underscoring its multidimensional growth and competitive global positioning.

Jamie Lin Named CEO of the Year

Telco+Tech Strategy Drives Record Performance

Jamie Lin, President of Taiwan Mobile, was awarded CEO of the Year for his strategic foresight and execution that delivered measurable success, achieving record revenue and profitability milestones.

This marks yet another international recognition for Lin, who was previously named Best CEO in Asia’s telecom sector (excluding Japan) by Extel for three consecutive years, and Taiwan’s CEO of the Year in IDC’s 2024 Future Enterprise Awards. “In this era defined by AI,” Lin added, “these honors further motivate us to accelerate our transformation.”

Since assuming leadership in 2019, Jamie has transformed Taiwan Mobile into a regional tech-telecom powerhouse through its 5G+ and Telco+Tech strategies. Today, the company’s footprint spans telecom services, e-commerce, gaming and entertainment, financial services, Web3, and EV charging. In 2025, Taiwan Mobile launched its own virtual asset exchange, TWEX, and partnered with AI search platform Perplexity to offer complimentary Pro subscriptions. The company also continues to grow its moCoins ecosystem with exclusive services like "Double Play Plans" and "momobile." In 2024, Taiwan Mobile achieved record-breaking consolidated revenue of NT$199.4 billion and EBITDA of NT$42.5 billion—an increase of more than NT$80 billion compared to 2018, the year prior to Jamie’s appointment.

Telco of the Year – Advanced Markets

From Local to Regional: Powering the Next Wave of User Experience

Taiwan Mobile was awarded Telco of the Year (Advanced Markets) for demonstrating robust innovation and profitability in an advanced market. The company has extended its services beyond core telecom to develop a Telco+Tech ecosystem—an exemplary model of telco transformation.

Taiwan Mobile has launched a series of AI-powered services, including AI Transcript, Taiwan’s first platform designed to accurately and securely transcribe local dialects; an Anti-phishing Service, which provides proprietary fraud detection; a Number Masking Service that protects user privacy during calls; and MyMoji, a personalized AI avatar experience. These services enhance user experience while supporting steady revenue and EBITDA growth.

In addition, Taiwan Mobile has joined forces with global partner Bridge Alliance to promote the Cross-Border Rewards Alliance, a collaborative platform centered on integrated member benefits. The initiative enables users to earn and redeem loyalty points across borders—whether through roaming with their original number or making purchases via the platform. Upon arrival at their destination, users can redeem these points for data access, voice calls, local gifts, or airport transfers, delivering a truly seamless and personalized travel experience.

Additionally, through the Bridge Alliance API Exchange (BAEx) platform, Taiwan Mobile offers global-standard API support to help businesses deploy 5G and AI solutions across borders, shaping a truly regional tech-telecom ecosystem.

Telco to Ace Gaming

Building a Cross-Border Gaming Ecosystem

Taiwan Mobile was also recognized as the Telco to Ace Gaming, highlighting its growing influence in the gaming sector across Asia. In 2025, the company collaborated with Bridge Alliance members to co-publish its first international game title, ETE Chronicles, in Indonesia and Malaysia. Taiwan Mobile contributed strategic support across market intelligence, localization, go-to-market planning, and data analytics. Following its launch, the game attracted over 90% organic traffic and surpassed local industry benchmarks in user retention and monetization, setting a new precedent for Taiwan’s outbound gaming ventures.

Since 2020, Taiwan Mobile has partnered with NVIDIA to deliver GeForce NOW Alliance Taiwan Mobile, a cloud gaming platform that now serves more than 380,000 members. The rollout of the RTX 4080 Ultra Plan in 2024 significantly enhanced the user experience and helped capture the high-performance gaming segment.

Additionally, Taiwan Mobile became the exclusive publisher in Taiwan for five Riot Games titles in 2023, including League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, Valorant, and Wild Rift. Through active community engagement and tournament programming, the company achieved a 20% year-over-year growth in gaming revenue and a 13% increase in EBITDA in 2024.

Looking ahead, Taiwan Mobile aims to strengthen its presence in esports by partnering with the LCP league and launching the new season with a kickoff event at its gaming arena, further bridging digital content, local communities, and real-world experiences into a cohesive gaming ecosystem.
