Taiwan Mobile announced February 2020 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$10.54bn, operating income of NT$1.50bn, net income of NT$1.11bn, and EPS of NT$0.40. Year to February, TWM reported unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$21.35bn, operating income of NT$3.06bn, net profit of NT$2.27bn and EPS of NT$0.81.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson, commented that consolidated revenue for the first two months of 2020 grew by 7% YoY, as momo’s e-commerce revenue soared by 33% YoY with an upsurge in Stay-at-Home Economy amid the coronavirus outbreak. As far as the telecom business is concerned, our “Double Play” bundle (unlimited mobile data and high-speed home broadband) continued its healthy momentum, while ICT and Cloud services recorded excellent revenue growth. Post-paid subscribers also grew nicely with tailwinds from smart street lights and electricity meters. In terms of profitability, operating income of all businesses showed YoY growth and fell within management expectations. Consolidated operating income for the first two months of 2020 increased 8% YoY; net income reached 76% of TWM’s 1Q20 guidance.
