Taiwan Mobile announced February 2019 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$9.43bn, operating income of NT$1.32bn, net profit of NT$0.96bn, and EPS of NT$0.35. Year to February accumulated unaudited consolidated figures were NT$19.94bn in revenue, NT$2.83bn in operating income, and NT$2.03bn in net profit. EPS of NT$0.75 for the first two months reached 72% of 1Q19 management guidance.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson, commented that momo maintained its double-digit revenue growth momentum in e-commerce in February, despite a strong January with earlier Chinese New Year vs. last year. For telecom business, higher in-contract ratio of subscribers post last May, coupled with successful customer retention, our post-paid churn hit a record low since the 4G services commenced. With simultaneous cost and expense rationalization, impact from mobile service revenue decline is mitigated. For cable TV, operating income increased by 3% YoY as the set-up-box related depreciation had already peaked out. Overall, profits for all major businesses exceeded guidance for the month.
