Mr. Cheng has made many important accomplishments during his 26 month tenor as CFO of Taiwan Mobile including simplification of investment holding structure, strengthening the balance sheet, upgrade of information transparency and improvement of company’s profitability. His move to Fubon Financial is primarily caused by his career interests. Mr. Harvey Chang, President and CEO of Taiwan Mobile, who is a personal friend as well as an old colleague of Hui-ming Cheng, said that, “Hui-ming has made major contributions to Taiwan Mobile while he served as CFO. I can understand why Hui-ming chose to make this change as there will be more opportunity for him to utilize his experience in the area of business merges and integration. We regret that he is leaving us and would like to wish him every success in his new endeavors.”

Ms. Vivien Hsu, the newly appointed CFO, holds two MBA degrees respectively from The University of New South Wales in Australia and National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Ms. Hsu has accumulated an abundance of experience both in the area of finance and telecom. On the finance front, Ms. Hsu was CFO of Cathay Financial Holdings which is the largest financial holding company in Taiwan, as well as held a number of managerial positions in the past respectively with China Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd, China Development Corporation and Grand Cathay Securities Co., Ltd. On the telecom front, Ms. Hsu was Vice President / CFO and then Executive Vice President of KG Telecom from 1996 to 2001. While in the capacity of EVP of KG Telecom, she also served concurrently as President & COO of its three subsidiaries including KGEx.com Co., Ltd., Lambda Net Co., Ltd., and KG Satellite Co., Ltd.

Ms. Hsu joined TWM in early 2004 as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff. During the past two years, she has successfully completed the post merger integration between Taiwan Mobile, TransAsia and Mobitai. She has also successfully built new systems for HR, Procurement and internal control at TWM. Mr. Harvey Chang, CEO of TWM, comments on her appointment as follows, “With her vast experience and familiarity with TWM, I am confident Vivien will be successful in her new capacity as CFO.”
