Taiwan Cellular Corporation Changes its English Name to Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd.

April, 21, 2005--Taiwan Cellular Corporation (TCC, 3045) today announced the change of its English name to Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd., (TWM) and instituted a colorful new logo to signify the Company's customer and service-oriented approach as Taiwan enters the 3G era.

Harvey Chang, CEO of the Company, noted that, "Through the launch of a colorful and energetic Corporate Identity System (CIS), we commit to enhance our corporate value of "customer caring", and become the primary choice of Taiwan's mobile telecom service customers."

In-line with the launch of the new CIS, the Company also changed its corporate website from www.tcc.net.tw to www.taiwanmobile.com and e-mail address from "@tcc.net.tw"to "@taiwanmobile.com." Foreign travelers will also see "TW Mobile" shown on their handset when they roam on TWM' network. At the same time, the company will adapt the brand-new Taiwan Mobile CIS on name cards, DMs and all of its publications.
