Taiwan Mobile announced June 2020 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$10.61bn, operating income of NT$1.34bn, net income of NT$1.03bn, and EPS of NT$0.36. For the first half of 2020, TWM reported cumulative unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$63.19bn, operating income of NT$8.61bn, net income of NT$6.36bn, and EPS of NT$2.26.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson, commented that as momo grew its e-commerce revenue by 43% YoY in June, its profitability expanded even more thanks to operating leverage. On the telecom side, while profitability was hindered by softer high-end handset bundle sales, IoT subscribers continued to grow on the back of rising demand for smart street lights and smart meters. With 5G service launch, we also expect 5G rate plans to contribute positively to ARPU. 1H20 cumulative operating income increased by 1% YoY, with operating income of all major businesses achieving management expectations. Cumulative consolidated net income reached 57% of Company’s FY20 guidance.
