TWM announced August consolidated revenue of NT$9.47bn. EBITDA was NT$2.48bn with an operating income of NT$1.35bn and a net income of NT$1.11bn. EPS was NT$0.41. For the first eight months of 2018, TWM reported a consolidated revenue of NT$77.53bn, an EBITDA of NT$21.52bn, an operating income of NT$12.43bn and a net income of NT$9.47bn. EPS for the first eight months was NT$3.48, reaching 70% of its full year forecast.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson of TWM, said that in August, e-commerce and mobile value-added services both continued to grow. The NT$499 promotion in May resulted in higher-than-expected number of contract renewals in advance, which has led to decreases in the mobile churn rates. Meanwhile, the mobile phone subsidies and channel commissions also came down, which helped partially offset the impact from the NT$499 promotion on ARPU. Overall, for the first eight months of the year, the core business EBITDA increased by 5.8% compared to the same period last year.
